Thomas Anthony "Tony" Adkins

Thomas Anthony “Tony” Adkins, 57, of Briscoe, and formerly of Canadian, passed away January 28, 2019 in Briscoe. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian with family officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Tony was born April 5, 1961 in Canadian to Utah and Faye Adkins. He attended Canadian schools with the class of 1979. Tony married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Morehead, on May 6, 1983 in Canadian. She preceded him in death on October 11, 2009. Tony first and foremost loved his grandchildren and going to their activities. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and his motorcycle. Survivors included three sons, Taylor Adkins and wife Jennifer of Canadian, William Adkins of Briscoe, and Jason Adkins and wife Rachel of Shamrock; 8 grandchildren, Hope, Austin, Wyatt, Utah, Braylee, Harper, Embry and Montana; one sister, Tonya Tarbet and husband Ricky of Sayre, OK; nieces and nephews, Kyle, Amber, Cody and Tori, Jamie, Devon, Ryan, Rustin & Tarynn; mother-in-law, Dorothea Crowell and husband Erbin; 2 sisters-in-law, Marsha Jo Pool and husband Randy, and Donna Sue Morehead; brother-in-law, Pete Morehead and wife Tammie; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Tony was also preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2019 from 9 am – 8 pm at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
