Maryle Kelln

Maryle Kelln, 97, of Canadian died Friday, November 27, 2020.

Private family graveside services will be in the Higgins Cemetery with J.W. Beeson, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Maryle Breitkreutz Kelln was born October 14, 1923 to Frank & Willie Breitkreutz of Glazier, Texas.  She married David Adam Kelln on February 6, 1945 in Arnett, Oklahoma. They had three children, David Frank, Mary Frances, and Michael Al.  Maryle loved living on the ranch northwest of Canadian until her death.  She was the happiest when she was checking cattle and being outside.  Maryle was a wonderful cook and loved gardening.  She grew up loving the outdoors, riding horses, and helping her dad. 

Maryle was preceded in death by her husband, David Adam; a sister, Pauline Thummel; her parents and grandsons; Ross Poyner, Tanner Scott Kelln; and son in law, Gary Laubhan. 

Survivors include son, David Frank Kelln and wife Elsie; daughter, Mary Laubhan; son, Michael Al Kelln and friend Connie Lilly; sister, Frances Overstreet; 2 great grandsons, Nathan and Logan; niece, Joey Lewis and husband Steve; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

With the loving care of wonderful caregivers Maryle was able to remain at her ranch home until the time of her death, you all made it possible, Thank you.  Dr. Isaccs gave her many years of love and care.

Maryle was born at the end of the horse and buggy era.  She lived through the Great Depression, one World War, the Dust Bowl, and multiple other droughts. Maryle was born into a ranching family and married into a ranching family.  She was truly a remarkable pioneer woman.
