Lisa Carol Lopez

Lisa Reid Lopez, 62 of Ruidoso, NM formally of Canadian stepped into her heavenly home Friday, September 1, 2023, in Dallas.

Public viewing will be 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home in Canadian.  Memorial services will be 10:00 am Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Canadian Methodist Church with Josh Reeves, officiating.

Lisa Carol Reid was born June 14, 1961, in Canadian to Carol and JB Reid.  She attended Canadian Schools and graduated with the class of 1979.  Lisa was a member and attended the Methodist Church with her family.   Lisa married Mike Lopez on August 16, 2008.  She enjoyed playing golf, watching the Longhorns with her family and loved all genres of music.  Lisa was a spades player and liked to win, very open about cheating, she was a gambler.  She found the mountains to be her happy place and wanted her “ducks in a row”, which meant having Mike, Megan and Reid close.

Lisa was preceded by her parents, Carol and JB, brother, Britt, sister and brother-in-law, Candy and Doyle Furgason and nephew, Dax Robinett.

Those left to share Lisa’s memory are her husband, Mike Lopez of Ruidoso, NM; daughter, Megan Betts of Amarillo; son, Reid Betts of Wildorado; niece, Tara Reid of Spearman; 3 great nieces and many wonderful friends.
