Kristi Lynne Lowery, 55, formerly of Canadian, passed away on February 21, 2022 in Coral Springs, Florida.
Private graveside services were held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian with Rev. Danny Sanders, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Littlefield, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
Kristi was born December 15,1966 to Buddy and Paulette King. She graduated from Canadian High School in 1985 and later earned her RN degree, while raising her two daughters. Kristi worked as a nurse at Pampa Regional Medical Center on the med/surge floor for years and later in a physician’s office in Amarillo. In between her nursing career she worked with her family running The Soda Shop. Family was the most important thing to Kristi. She loved working on genealogy with her mother, Paulette, and accumulating photos of family and friends. While her daughters were growing up, she always had a welcoming home that was always full of laughter with her girls and their friends. Kristi enjoyed cooking and having her family over to laugh and swap stories. While living in Canadian, Kristi was a longtime member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Paulette Brooks King in 2013, after a battle with ovarian cancer.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Kimberly Aufill and husband Peyton of Lubbock and Kendra Lowery of Ft. Worth; sister, Kari Philips of Amarillo; brother, Ken King and wife Robin of Canadian; her father, Buddy King of Canadian; a granddaughter, Scarlette Aufill; 5 nieces and nephews, Hailey Philips, Quenton Philips, Marley Philips-West, Kaleb King, and Karis King; 3 great nieces, Aven, Lila, and Arya.
