Judy Godden, 67 of Canadian died December 13, 2017 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the First Christian Church in Canadian, with Matt Cook, minister. Burial will follow at Eller Flat-Prairie Dell Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Judy was born in Hatton, Arkansas to Elmer and Emaloy McCravens. She graduated from the Canadian High School class of 1970 and Key Punch of Amarillo.  Judy married Wesley Godden June 8, 1971.  Being a people person, she saw the good in people.  She had a heart of gold and was known to cook for those without family.  Judy enjoyed making jelly, quilting and knitting.  She loved her family and spending time with them. She was a member of the First Christian Church.  Judy was preceded in death by her father, Elmer McCravens; a son, James Wesley; two brothers, James Larry McCravens and Butch McCravens & wife Debra McCravens. Survivors include husband Wesley Godden of the home; son Cody Godden of Garland; daughter Angela Outlaw and husband William of Cibolo; mother Emaloy McCravens of Canadian; sister Barbara Johnson & husband Johnny of Canadian; grandchildren, Emma Godden of Garland and Hayden Outlaw of Cibolo; niece & nephews, Hope Johnson, Tyrel McCravens and Jared Johnson. Memorials may be sent to Special Olympics of Texas, 1804 Rutherford Lane, Austin, TX 78754.
