Janice Johnson Moore

Janice Moore, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on June 27, 2022, at her home in Canadian.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Canadian with Rev. Morgan Johnson, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Janice was born November 26, 1957, in Mesa, AZ to Kenneth and Ann Johnson. She graduated Westwood High School in Mesa and ran track for Arizona State University. Following her move to Southern California, she mothered 3 talented and beautiful children. In 1997, she married her loving husband, William, and moved to Canadian. She was a substitute teacher at the local schools K-12. In 2008, she became an EMT for her community. She adopted and cared for many rescue dogs, cats, and friends of her children. She loved to help the community by volunteering with Meals on Wheels and making food for the bazaar.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jane.

Survivors include her sweet husband, William; her 3 children and their spouses, Taylor and Maria, Sara and Dustan, Sally and Brandon; her 4 grandchildren, Walter, Kady Ann, Lauren, and Geronimo; her brothers and their spouses, Morgan and Mary, Denver and Billie Joe; and many nieces and nephews; also, their grateful 5 dogs and 2 cats.
