Damaris Itzel Jara, 23, of Canadian passed away February 29, 2024, in Canadian.

Viewing for Damaris will be Saturday, March 2, 2024, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday, March 4, 2024, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Damaris Itzel Jara was born July 7, 2000, in Juarez, Mexico to Pascual Jara and Nubia Montoya.  She moved to Canadian in 2005 and graduated from Canadian High School.  Damaris worked at Dairy Queen and enjoyed working. She loved music, going for walks, spending time with her family and especially enjoyed playing with her nieces and nephews. Damaris was loving, caring, and cared more about others than herself!

Left to cherish her memory are her mother and father, Nubia Montoya and Pascual Jara; brother, 2 brothers Alan Jara and Jose’ Zapata; 3 sisters, Yazmin Jara, Maria Jara and Idaly Montoya; nieces and nephews.
