Bobby Joe Kent

Bobby Joe Kent, 72, of Corsicana, passed away August 15, 2018 in Corsicana.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemeteries in Canadian, with Rev. Matt Cook, pastor of First Christian Church of Canadian, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Bobby Joe was born February 5, 1946 in Pampa to Gharney and Opal Kent.  He lived in Miami until he was 18, and attended Abilene State School for several years.  For the past few years, he had lived in the Fairfield area to be closer to his family.  Bobby Joe loved his family and always had the biggest smile when he would see his siblings.  He will be greatly missed. 

Survivors include two sisters, Judy Allen and husband Tim, and Linda Woods and husband Clyde, all of Fairfield; three brothers, Don Kent, Jimmy Kent and Billy Kent and wife Judy, all of Fairfield; sister-in-law, Melba Kent of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nelda Jean Kent; and a brother, Leroy Kent.
