Agnes Hopper, 89, of Pampa passed away on Friday October 5, 2018 in Canadian.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Canadian with Rev. Matthew McCurley, pastor, and Rev. Richard Bartel, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Cemetery in Canadian. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
Mrs. Hopper was born November 21, 1928 in Savannah, TN to Johnny and Mary Tidwell. She attended schools in Savannah before meeting the love of her life. Agnes married Faughn Hopper on June 20, 1947 in Corinth, Mississippi, he passed away on December 10, 1987 after 40 years of marriage. They made their home in Pampa in 1954. She worked for the Marie Foundation for over 10 years. Agnes enjoyed sewing, gardening, and quilting; she has made numerous quilts over the years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family and being Grandma to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Walker and husband John of Canadian; son, Johnny Hopper and wife Brenda of Farmersville; brother, J.R. Tidwell of Savannah, TN; 6 grandchildren, Scott Walker and wife Jimmye, Justin Hopper and wife Jessica, Jason Hopper and wife Katie, Stevie Fieser and husband Ross, Joey Hopper, and Jesse Hopper; 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerry Hopper; and 7 brothers and sisters.
