Services for Porter Dale Lambert, 69, of Memphis, TX will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating and Dr. O.K. Bowen, assisting. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Porter passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Memphis, TX. Porter was born July 21, 1941 in Hall County, TX to the late Mr. Hugh Lambert and Mrs. Ethel Mae (Vaughn) Lambert. He attended schools in Memphis, TX. He married Nancy Smith on September 30, 1961 in Lakeview, TX. Porter was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one sister, Darlene Brandes. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lambert of Memphis, TX; four sons, Randy Lambert and wife DaCarla of Memphis, TX; Robby Lambert and wife Cindy of Fruitvale, TX; Bryan Lambert and wife Amy of Hinton, OK; Ronnie Lambert and wife Cindy of Lefors, TX; one daughter, Starla Artis of Amarillo, TX; his mother-in-law, Florence Smith of Memphis, TX; 16 grandchildren, Whitney Lambert of Sayre, OK; Jared Lambert of Memphis, TX; Patrick Lambert of Amarillo, TX; Taylor Lambert of Sayre, OK; Kayla Lambert of Memphis, TX; Sadie Lambert of Hinton, OK; Blayson and Brinna Williams both of Amarillo, TX; Mercedes Artis of Amarillo, TX; Kenlee, Jayden, Emma and Cara Lambert all of Lefors, TX; Michael and Sarah Lambert both of Fruitvale, TX; Taytum Artis of Amarillo, TX; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Desmond and D.J. Ricadio all of Sayre, OK; five sisters, Vonna Joyce Young and husband Carlye of Sulphur Springs ,TX; Hudene Castagnetta of Amarillo, TX; Myrna Loy Taylor of Livingston, TX; Barbara Seiber and husband Brent of Azle, TX; Gloria Williams and husband Cub of Coalgate, OK; and numerous other family members and close friends. The family suggest memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 121 South 8th St., Memphis, TX 79245. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 North 10 St., Memphis, TX.
