Services for Josephine “Jo” Walker, 83, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Monte Kreis and Rev. Nancy Moore officiating. Burial will be in Higgins Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Walker passed away Sunday, November 26, 2006 in Canadian, TX. She was born on September 6, 1923 in Clarendon, TX to the late Mr. Warner Fulton and Mrs. Jesse Riggs Fulton. She was a graduate of Alanreed High School. She married Minyard “Rudy” Walker on November 22, 1945 in Pampa, TX. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1974. She moved to Canadian, TX in 1975 from Higgins, TX. Jo was a housewife and worked as a CNA at the Edward Abraham Memorial Home for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. She is survived by one son, Ronnie Walker and wife Arlene of Lipscomb, TX; one brother, Euil Fulton of McLean, TX; Eva Cobb of Granby, MO; two grandchildren, Chad Walker of Canadian, TX; Amanda Reagan of Terral, OK; three great-grandchildren, Chance Walker and Gracen Walker both of Canadian, TX; Harley Reagan of Terral, OK. The family suggests memorials to the Edward Abraham Nursing Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014.
