Oca L. Milom

Services for Mrs. Oca L. Milom, 101, of Clovis, NM will be Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with her son-in-law Bill Henry, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Milom passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 in Clovis, NM. Oca was born October 18, 1909 in Crowell, TX to the late Mr. Joe Golleher and Mrs. Charity (Bettis) Golleher. She married Claude H. Milom on December 17, 1926. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1986. Oca was a welder in the shipyard during World War II and was a farmer. She moved to Clovis, NM in June of 2004 from Artesia, NM. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Artesia, NM and later became a member of 21st St. Church of Christ in Clovis, NM. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Murl Milom and one son, Claude E. Milom, three brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Henry and husband Bill of Clovis, NM; Louise Petterson and husband Joel of Gallop, NM; five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Retirement Ranch Nursing Home, 2221 Dillon, Clovis, NM 88101.
