Memorial services for Ernest Bolejack, 94, of Canadian, TX will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Durham, OK with his son-in-law, Matt Dillon, officiating and Mike Flynn, assisting. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Bolejack passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 in Canadian TX. Ernest was born June 24, 1916 in Lake City, KS to the late Mr. Ernest Ed Bolejack and Mrs. Mary Etta (Carter) Bolejack. He was a 1937 graduate of Sun City High School in Sun City, KS. He married Mary Belle Winnop on April 1, 1939 in Sun City, KS. She preceded him in death on September 14, 1994. Ernest worked as a farmer most of his life and was very proud of his efforts to raise food to send to the troops during World War II. He moved his family to Montana in 1952 where he began to raise alfalfa. When Ernest retired in 1982 he and Mary returned to Kansas to be closer to his parents. He moved to Canadian, TX in 1999 from Longton, KS. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Durham, OK. He was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Bolejack and one sister, Etta Mae Tallman. He is survived by three sons, Neil Bolejack and wife Dolly of Mile City, MT; Dale Bolejack and wife Margaret of Douglas, WY; Dan Bolejack and wife Ruth of Renton, WA; one daughter, April Dillon and husband Matt of Canadian, TX; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
