Graveside services for Mrs. Sue Hutcherson, 82, of Memphis, TX will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery with Woodrow Richardson, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mrs. Hutcherson passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Huntsville, AR. Sue was born July 4, 1928 in Goodnight, TX to the late Mr. John McDowell and Mrs. Ruby (Harp) McDowell. She was a 1945 graduate of Pampa High School. She married Wayne Hutcherson on July 3, 1954. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1969. Sue worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell and then went to work for Production Credit. She later went to work as a clerk for Lone Star Gas. In 1991 she went to work for Memphis Glass and Supply. Sue was a charter member of Club 51 and a long time member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Staples of Huntsville, AR; Janie Farnsworth and husband Johnny of Memphis, TX; one son, David Hutcherson and wife Rochelle of Dumas, TX; one brother, Jim McDowell and wife Nancy of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren, Chandra Skolnekovich and husband Ivan of Huntsville, AR; Lisa Krause and husband Bob of Las Vegas, NV; Stacy McQueen and husband Max of Wheeler, TX; Miles Farnsworth of Amarillo, TX; 6 great-grandchildren and two nephews, Jack McDowell and wife Sherri of Colorado Springs, CO; Keith McDowell and wife Angie of Phoenix, AZ. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 N 10th St., Memphis, TX 79245.
