Services for Garry “Pal” Lister, 58, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Canadian with Rev. Bill Burkholder, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Lister passed away October 29, 2006 in Canadian, TX. He was born on December 28, 1947 in Wheeler, TX to the late Mr. R.O. Lister and Mrs. Doretta Calcote Moore. He was a graduate of Miami High School. He then went on and graduated with a Business Administrating degree from West Texas University. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He married Nancy Darling on August 22, 1992 in Wheeler, TX. They moved to Canadian, TX in January of 2006 from Miami, TX. He was a self employed accountant and a member of the First Baptist Church in Miami, TX. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lister of Canadian, TX; three sons, Mark Lister of North Carolina; Robert Lister of Bay City, TX; Bryan Sears of Coalgate, OK; one brother, Jerry Lister of Wheeler, TX; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014.
