Grace Hines Wright

Memorial services for Mrs. Grace Hines Wright, 85, of Canadian, TX will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kade Curry, officiating. Private inurnment will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Wright passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Canadian, TX. Grace was born July 20, 1925 in Oxford, KS to the late Mr. Thurmon Hines and Mrs. Mary Ruth (Hill) Hines. She was a 1943 graduate of Pampa High School. After graduating high school she went to work as a secretary for the District Attorney in Pampa, TX. She married Charles H. Wright at the First Presbyterian Church in Pampa, TX and then moved to the Wright Ranch Headquarters east of Canadian. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1975. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. Grace enjoyed outdoor activities, china painting and was a long time member of the Delta Deck Bridge Club. She is survived by her son, John T. Wright and wife Marilee of Canadian, TX; two grandchildren, Sean Wright and wife Jaye Lynn and Sharon Wright all of Canadian, TX; two great-grandchildren, Holly and Ashley Wright both of Canadian, TX. The family suggests memorials be made to Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014 or Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
