Services for Mr. Thomas J. Cochran Jr., 72, of Lubbock, TX will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mr. Cochran passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Lubbock, TX. Thomas was born September 17, 1937 in Leslie, TX to the late Mr. Thomas J. Cochran Sr. and Mrs. Maggie (McGuire) Cochran. He attended schools in Memphis, TX and Abilene, TX. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Thomas worked as a Electronic Technician Specialist for Eagle Picture Industries in Lubbock, TX for 20 plus years. He moved to Lubbock, TX in 1979 from Floydada, TX. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, Doyce, John and Robert and one sister, Mamie Robertson. He is survived by one son, Michael Dale Cochran; one daughter, Tammy Kastner and husband Ed of Deer Park, WA; two sisters, Dorthy Alexander of Abilene, TX; Betty Jean Dunn of Amarillo, TX; one granddaughter, Karli Kastner of Deer Park, WA. The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
