Memorial service for Jesse Wampler, 28, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at The River Church with David Young, officiating and Mike Flynn, assisting. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Jesse passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 in Hemphill County. Jesse was born December 2, 1981 in Lubbock, TX to Wade Wampler and Judy (Goodwin) Wampler. He was a 2000 graduate of Canadian High School and then went on to attend West Texas State University in Canyon, TX. He was married to Detria McIntosh. Jesse worked for Superior Pipe Line Company as a plant operator. He was baptized in the Washita River by a traveling preacher in 2005. He also loved collecting Indian Artifacts. He was preceded in death by one son, Jared Wampler, his grandfather, Troy Wampler and his uncle, Monte Wampler. He is survived by his wife Detria McIntosh Wampler of Canadian, TX; one daughter, Harlow Wampler of Canadian, TX; his parents, Wade and Judy Wampler of Canadian, TX; one brother, Ward Wampler of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters, Wendy Melendez of Austin, TX; Megan Green of Canadian, TX; his grandparents, Tom and Frankie Goodwin of Durham, OK; his grandmother, Marie Wampler of Lorenzo, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
