R.S. "Mutt" Wansley

Services for Mr. R.S. “Mutt” Wansley, 86, of Lakeview, TX, will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Memphis, TX with Rev. Robert G. Blum, officiating and Tom Anderson and Rev. Dale Sexton, assisting. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mr. Wansley passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 in Lakeview, TX. Mutt was born February 23, 1924 in Lakeview, TX to the late Mr. R.S. Wansley Sr. and Mrs. Virginia (Billington) Wansley. He was a 1941 graduate of Lakeview High School. He married Tommie Albright on March 5, 1950 in Hollis, OK. Mutt was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Lakeview, TX. Mutt served as trustee on the Lakeview Independent School District. He was past president of the Butane COOP in Lakeview and also served on the Hall County Hospital Board. He was also a member of the Memphis Country Club. He was preceded is death by three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Tommie Wansley of Lakeview, TX; one son, Terry Wansley and wife Jane of Dallas, TX.
