Don Neighbors

Services for Don Neighbors, 67, of Monroe, LA, will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Memphis, TX with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, TX. Mr. Neighbors passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 in Doyline, LA. Don was born June 20, 1942 in Memphis, TX to the late Mr. Olin Richard Neighbors and Mrs. Una Vay (Bradley) Neighbors. He was a 1960 graduate of Lakeview High School. He married Lou Harris in April of 1979 in Lewisville, TX. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2005. Don retired from Delta Airlines with 30 plus years of service. He was preceded in death by one son, Dallas Gill, one daughter, Sonya Greer, his infant brother and one sister, Glenda Morgan. He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Murry and husband Jerry of Memphis, TX; Leslie Foster and husband Joe Neal of Fort Sumner, NM one son, Corbett Gill of Shreveport, LA; one brother, Jim Neighbors and wife Linda of Temple, TX; two sisters, Pat Blake and husband Bill of Plano, TX; Betty Thompson and husband Joe of Kaufman, TX; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
