Services for Mrs. Estelle Galloway, 82, of Borger, TX, will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Memphis, TX with Tom Anderson, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mrs. Galloway passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Borger, TX. Estelle was born July 28, 1927 in Memphis, TX to the late Mr. Exie Sweatt and Mrs. Eunice Sweatt. She was a 1944 graduate of Memphis High School. She then went on to attend West Texas State University in Canyon, TX. She married Cecil W. Galloway on July 5, 1947. She moved to Borger, TX in 1947 from Memphis, TX. Estelle was owner and operator of a beauty salon and a custom drapery business in Borger, TX for many years. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Borger, TX. She was preceded in death by one sister, Velma Bourland. She is survived by her husband, Cecil W. Galloway of Borger, TX; one son, Charles Galloway of Omaha, NE; four daughters, Brenda Hanes of Amarillo, TX; Dr. Carolyn Galloway of Houston, TX; Betty Ann Martindale of Amarillo, TX; Judy Galloway of Henryetta, OK; one sister, Alma Hughs of Memphis, TX; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends on Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 N 10th St., Memphis, TX.
