Evelyn Audrey Whisenhunt

Services for Evelyn Audrey Whisenhunt, 75, of Memphis, TX, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Hughs Memorial Chapel in Memphis, TX, with Tom Anderson officiating. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Whisenhunt passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006 in Memphis, TX. She was born on December 31, 1930 in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada to the late Mr. Bill Barnett and Mrs. Mabel Myrle (Matier) Barnett. She grew up in the rural areas of western Canada and moved to the United States in 1953. In 1965, she moved to Texas and worked as a bookkeeper. She married Benny Whisenhunt on June 19, 1970 in Garland, TX. Mrs. Whisenhunt graduated from nursing school in Muskogee, OK and worked as a Registered Nurse across the western United States. She also worked for several years at the Hall County Hospital. She is survived by her husband Benny Whisenhunt of Memphis, TX; two sons, Tony Farmby and wife Tina of Heath, TX and Doug Farmby of Richardson, TX; one daughter, Dawn Ann Whitehead and husband Bobby of Lone Oak, TX; two brothers, Doug Barnett of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Don Barnett and wife Millie of Fernie, British Columbia; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Fairview Cemetery Chapel Fund, P.O. Box 265, Memphis, TX 79245.
