Graveside services for Roger Wootton, 70, of Canadian, TX and Breckenridge, TX will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX with Rev. Rick Timmons, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Wootton passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in Breckenridge, TX. Roger was born December 12, 1939 in Canadian, TX to Mrs. Clara Bell Rogers Wootton and the late Mr. Chester Wootton. He was a 1958 graduate of Canadian High School. Roger was owner and operator of a TV and Cable business. He later worked as a contractor as a seismographer. He married Judy Lemons on April 4, 1998 in Ranger, TX. He was past mayor of Breckenridge and a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was also a member of Central Baptist Church in Canadian, TX. He is survived by his wife, Judy Wootton of Canadian, TX; two sons, Tom Wootton and wife Kimberly of Livingston, TX; Tyler Wootton and wife Gail of Hutto, TX; one daughter, Sheila Hight and husband Ernie of Nederland, TX; his mother, Clara Bell Wootton of Canadian, TX; two brothers, Tommy Wootton and wife Belle of Amarillo, TX; Dwayne Wootton and wife Connie of Canyon, TX; two sisters, Jean Curnutt of Florence, MT; Joyce Howard and husband Edward of Glazier, TX; two step-sons, Keith Lemons and wife Carolyn of Spring, TX; Wade Lemons of Canadian, TX; one step-daughter, Shannon Meadows and husband Dean of Canadian, TX; 9 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
