Louise Hodge

Services for Mrs. Louise Hodge, 91, of Siloam Springs, AR formerly of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Church of Christ in Memphis, TX with Tom Anderson, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mrs. Hodge passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in Siloam Springs, AR. Louise was born March 23, 1918 in Fannin County, TX to the late Mr. Wilburn Davis and Mrs. Effie (Warford) Davis. She was a 1938 graduate of Memphis High School. She married Elmer F. Hodge Sr., on September 16, 1942 in Paducah, TX. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1990. They moved to Memphis, TX in 1988 from Arkansas. In August of 1999 Louise moved back to Arkansas. She worked as a line supervisor for Weiser Lock. While living in Memphis, TX she was a member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by one son, Elmer F. Hodge Jr., on January 5, 2009; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by one son, Billy G. Hodge and wife Susan of Siloam Springs, AR; one sister, Cressie Nester of Show Low, AZ; her daughter-in-law, Dianne Hodge of Siloam Springs, AR; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be made to Fairview Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 265, Memphis, TX 79245. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 N 10th St., Memphis, TX 79245.
