Memorial services for Mrs. Cozette Welch, 78, of Canyon, TX formerly of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 7, 2009 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX with Donald Hill, officiating. Inurnment is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Welch passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009. Cozette was born August 13, 1931 in Blanchard, OK to the late Mr. Aurburn Copeland and Mrs. Vera (Garner) Copeland. She was a 1949 graduate of Paducah High School. She married Hoyt Welch on July 16, 1949 in Quanah, TX. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1997. They moved to Canadian, TX in 1961 from Silverton, TX. Cozette loved working on the family ranch with her husband. She was preceded in death by one son, Cowboy Welch on July 10, 2005; one brother, William Latimer; one sister, Kathryn Fish and one grandson, Tanner Welch in 1996. She is survived by two sons, Bullet Welch of Amarillo, TX; Rowdy Welch and wife Cathy of Canyon, TX; one sister, Coleta Long and husband Dwayne of Denver, CO; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
