Services for Mrs. Joye Steinle, 81, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Gary Jahnel, officiating. Burial will be in Higgins Cemetery in Higgins, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Steinle passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Joye was born January 22, 1928 in Paden, OK to the late Mr. Celia Davenport and Mrs. Florence (Bettis) Davenport. She was a 1946 graduate of Canadian, TX. She married Alvin Steinle on February 12, 1947 in Higgins, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. She is preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Eugene “Bobby” Davenport, Jimmie Davenport, Celia Wayne Davenport, Eddie Ray Davenport and one sister, Iva Tesson. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Steinle of Canadian, TX; four sons, James Anthony “Tony” Steinle of Morton, TX; Kenneth Ray Steinle of Canadian, TX; David Michael Steinle of Fritch, TX; Roger Dale Steinle of Florida, two daughters, Lelia Diane Farquharson of Pittsburg, PA; Marchetta Dea Wilmeth of Hobart, OK; five sisters, Clara Jones of Pampa, TX; Georgia Thomas of Canadian, TX; Doris Cook of Clinton, OK; Willa Fitch of Locust Grove, OK; Maxine Larsh of Iowa Park, TX; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
