Services for Mrs. Estella Rodriguez, 53, of Memphis will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Junior Haynes, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Rodriguez passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 in Memphis, TX. Estella was born April 16, 1956 in Pharr, TX to the late Mr. Ignacio Gonzalez, Sr. and Mrs. Enedina Benavidez Gonzalez. She attended school at Bowen High School in Chicago, IL and later received her GED from Clarendon College in Clarendon, TX. She married Gustavo Rodriguez on January 22, 1985 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2001. They moved to Memphis, TX in 1999 from Chicago, IL. Estella worked for Panhandle Transit as a bus driver. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Memphis, TX. She was preceded in death by one sister, Olivia Barbosa. She is survived by four sons, Esdras Rodriguez and wife Erika, Nehemias Rodriguez, Esteban Rodriguez and Ezequiel Rodriguez all of Memphis, TX; one daughter, Lea Rodriguez of Memphis, TX; four brothers, Robert Gonzalez and Manuel Gonzalez both of Memphis, TX; Jose Gonzalez of Independence, KS; Igancio Gonzalez, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Olga Aguilar of Memphis, TX; Yolando Cabrales of Peoria, AZ; two grandchildren, Alejandro Rodriguez and Gavyn Coulter.
