Billy Dan Hoover, 81, of Canadian, died June 18, 2017 in Canadian. Memorial services will be 2:30 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Chapel in Canadian, with John Lopez, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Hoover was born November 1, 1935 in Canadian. He was a longtime resident of Canadian and Hemphill County. He enjoyed building and racing cars, motorcycle racing and dirt bikes, and enjoyed personal fitness and athletic pursuits. Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Hoover of Canadian; a daughter, Amber Dawn Hoover of Canadian; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Keith Wright of Amarillo, Acacia Jade Gass of Southland, and Ceara Skye Wright of Amarillo; and a great granddaughter, Bevyn Aubree Harper of Amarillo.
