Ralph Edwards

Services for Ralph Edwards, 64, of Canadian, TX will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Church of Christ with Dr. Dean English, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Edwards passed away Sunday, April 30, 2006 in Amarillo, TX. He was born on August 31, 1941 in Wilmington, DE to Blanche Sealy and the late Mr. Glenn G. Edwards Jr. He was a graduate of North East High School in North East, MD and a 1973 graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and a Jurisprudence degree in law. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Ralph married Martha Thomason on December 23, 1961 in Lubbock, TX. He currently taught Social Studies at Canadian High School where he has taught since 1984. He was also a member of the Church of Christ and served nine years on the Hemphill County Hospital Board. He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Tarlton in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Martha Edwards of Canadian, TX; two sons, John Do and wife Cici of Austin, TX Jimmy Do and wife Manvi of Houston, TX; one daughter, Donna Stephenson and husband Monty of Abernathy, TX; his mother, Blanche Sealy of Jacksonville, FL; his step mother, Nellie Edwards of Elkton, MD; three sisters, Teddy Burke and Jenny Hooper both of Jacksonville, FL; Jency White of Chesapeake, VA; his aunt, Buelah Rambo of North East, MD; five grandchildren, Shay Stephenson, Tallen Stephenson and Lexus Stephenson all of Abernathy, TX; Winford Do and Winston Do both of Austin, TX.
