Frank Hedrick

Services for Mr. Frank Hedrick, 76, of Estelline, TX will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 10, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Estelline with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating. Burial will follow in Hulver Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mr. Hedrick passed away Friday, August 7, 2009. Frank was born July 1, 1933 in Turkey, TX to the late Mr. Elbert Hedrick and Mrs. Winnie (Finley) Hedrick. He was a graduate of Turkey High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Rita Hill on September 25, 1951 in Clovis, NM. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2005. He moved to Estelline, TX in 1963 from Turkey, TX. Frank owned and operated the Circle H in Estelline and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Proffitt and husband Gary of Amarillo, TX; Shane Collins of Lakewood, CO; two sisters, Margaret Bley of Bandera, TX; Joyce Mendenhall of Alamogordo, NM; five grandchildren, Jason Proffitt, Justin Proffitt and Joe Barton all of Amarillo, TX; Cody Collins of Lakewood, CO; Dylan Collins of Follett, TX; three great-grandchildren, Lathan and Sadie Proffitt and Sydney Barton all of Amarillo, TX. The family suggest memorials be made to the Memphis Meals on Wheels, 202 South 8th St., Memphis, TX 79245.
