Eldon Roe Walser, 66, of Canadian, died January 1, 2017 in Canadian. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at the Church of Christ in Canadian, with Jake Perkins, minister, and Kyle Lynch, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Walser was born March 29, 1950 in Hemphill County. His family had strong farming and ranching roots in the area. Eldon worked beside his father and brothers for many years. He enjoyed helping others. His heart for service was evident in many ways. Eldon had a great love for his family, church and the Canadian Wildcats. He was an avid bowler for eight years. He enjoyed football, gun shows, movies and television. Survivors include three brothers, Melvin Walser and wife Judi and Weldon Walser and wife Annette, all of Canadian, and Glenn Walser of Streetman; six nephews, five nieces and eight cousins.
