George Thomas Reames

George Thomas Reames, 74, of Canadian, died August 25, 2016 in Canadian. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 29, 2016, at Abundant Life Church with Rev. Berry Hosford, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Reames was born July 21, 1942 in Prague, Oklahoma. He married Linda Mae Marine, and she preceded him in death in 2003. He had been a resident of Canadian for the past eight years, moving from Pampa. George was a pumper for Gulf Oil, retiring in 2009. He was a Baptist. George was preceded in death by his parents, George Reames and Gladys Nash Reames; a daughter, Pamela Kay Reames in 1983; two sisters, Earlene Fletcher and Sharon Lane; two brothers, Howard Reames and Wally Reames; and a grandson, Kade Reames. Survivors include a son, George “Boy” Reames and wife Tammy of Canadian; a daughter, Tammie Reames of Canadian; eight grandchildren, Darren Moxon, Monica Hopson, Kaysi Parker, Caylie Wheaton, Shelbie Reames, Koda Reames, Jax Reames and Austin Reames; ten great grandchildren; and two brothers, Vallace Reames and Warren Reames, of Duncan, Oklahoma.
