Sandra Elaine Scott Smithee, 65, of Canadian, died August 22, 2016 in Canadian. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel, with Donald Hill, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mrs. Smithee was born January 10, 1951 in Lamar, Colorado. She was raised in Walsh, Colorado and that is also where she raised her family. Sandra married Charles Smithee on March 14, 1965 in Walsh. She had been a resident of Canadian since 1987. She was a homemaker. Sandra was an avid animal lover, loved spending time with her family, and being a “Grandma,” “Nanny,” and most of all, “Grammy.” Her family refers to her as “the best cheeseburger maker in the world!” Survivors include her husband, Charles Smithee of the home; two daughters, Donna Sheffer and husband Michael of Mustang, Oklahoma, and Beverley Kirkland and husband Kevin of Pampa, Texas; a son, Kevin Smithee and wife Mary of Canadian; two sisters, Sharon Molina and husband Joe of Dumas, Texas, and Joy Tate and husband Ritchie of Thomas, Oklahoma; four brothers, Jack Scott of Woodward, Oklahoma, Mitch Scott and wife Patty of Liberal, Kansas, Larry Scott of Vernon, Texas, and Bill Scott of Briscoe, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Sandra was preceded in death by a sister, Darla Caddick; a brother, Dwayne Scott; and her parents, Corky and Rae Scott.
