Graveside services for Mr. Wayne Flowers, 57, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Monte Kreis, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Flowers passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009. Wayne was born January 23, 1952 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Joseph Gilman Flowers and Mrs. Lois (King) Flowers. He was a 1971 graduate of Canadian High School. He married Sally Jahnel on August 13, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV. Wayne was a lifelong resident of Canadian and was a rancher. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Dustin Flowers and his sister, Sandra Sue Flowers. He is survived by his wife, Sally Flowers of Canadian, TX; three sons, David Flowers and wife Natasha of Clovis, NM; Danny Flowers and wife Dawn of Canadian, TX; Donnie Flowers and wife Stefanie of Lubbock, TX; two brothers, Joe Flowers and wife Sammie of Gage, OK; Roy Flowers and wife Ann of Spearman, TX; five sisters, Francis Newell of Canadian, TX; Zella Meeks and husband Bob of Richardson, TX; Pat Schaef and husband Larry of Boswell, OK; Vickie Bolin and husband Bob of Chandler, TX; Dixie Cook and husband George of Canadian, TX; 6 grandchildren, Chantal ,Cydnie and Casity Flowers all of Clovis, NM; Ethan and Tyler Flowers both of Canadian, TX; Mackenzie Flowers of Lubbock, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to your favorite charity. Viewing will be available at the First Christian Church Chapel at 402 Purcell Ave in Canadian.
