Services for Ruth Ginter, 76, of Lipscomb, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Darrouzett, TX with Rev. Aaron Laverty, officiating and Rev. Travis LaDuke and Rev. Don McElroy, assisting. Burial will be in Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Ginter died Saturday, March 25, 2006 in Amarillo, TX. She was born on January 12, 1930 in Lipscomb County, TX to the late Mr. Christ Miller Sr. and Mrs. Marie Born Miller. She was Valedictorian of the 1948 class in Darrouzett, TX. She was a life long resident of Lipscomb County. She married Harry Ginter on October 24, 1948 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Darrouzett, TX. She worked for many years at the Lipscomb County Courthouse in the home extension office and deputy clerk until retiring in 1989. Ruth enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting and cooking. She was raised in a Christian home and became a Christian at age 16. Ruth cherished her service to the Lord Jesus Christ and to her family. She left a legacy to her family of serving the Lord. She was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church since 1951 where she was a pianist and taught Sunday school. She was preceded in death by six brothers, William, Christ Jr., Fred, George, Victor and Alvin and two sisters, Emelia Meller Schoenhals and Marie Garrison Meier. She is survived by her husband, Harry Ginter of Lipscomb, TX; four daughters, Arlene Condren and husband Johnny of Amarillo, TX; Jewell Ginter-Fitz and husband Job of Lubbock, TX; Carolyn Jones and husband Steve of Longview, TX; Darlene Ridgway and husband Scott of Allen, TX; one brother, Leo Miller of Booker, TX; 6 grandchildren, Brian Condren of Fritch, TX; Mandy Condren Harris of Amarillo, TX; Andrea Jones Broughton and Adam Jones both of Longview, TX; Krista Ridgway and Julia Ridgway both of Allen, TX; 6 great-grandchildren, Clint Condren, Mason Condren and Levi Condren all of Fritch, TX; Chase Harris, Slade Harris and Marisa Harris all of Amarillo, TX.
