Services for R.C. Jenkins, Jr., 41, of Clarendon, TX, formerly of Memphis, TX, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Memphis, TX, with Woodrow Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mr. Jenkins passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2006 in Clarendon, TX. He was born on September 27, 1964 in Memphis, TX to Mrs. Myrtle (Matthews) Jenkins and the late Mr. R.C. Jenkins, Sr. He married Chrisla Gillam on September 27, 1999 in Memphis and worked for the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation. He is survived by his wife, Chrisla; his mother, Myrtle Jenkins of Memphis, TX; two sons, Samaki Jenkins of Dallas, TX and R.C. Jenkins III of Austin, TX; one daughter, Taleja Jenkins of Austin, TX; four brothers, Jardereo Matthews, Donnie Matthews, Jerry Dale Jenkins and Dennis Neal Jenkins, all of Memphis, TX; two sisters, Annette Howleit of Chicago, IL and Loretta Weatherton of Clarendon, TX; and two step-brothers.
