Services for Carol Ann Carr Wilson, 66, of Archer City, TX formerly of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016, at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Ed Hedgecoke, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Carol Ann passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Wichita Falls, TX. Carol Ann was born September 12, 1949 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Elbie Carr and Mrs. Evelyn (McKee) Carr She was a 1968 graduate of Canadian High School. She also attended Frank Phillips Junior College in the accounting department. She married George Wilson on February 3, 1968 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canadian. She worked for the Hemphill County Sherriff’s office as a dispatcher and jailer for 17 plus years. She was a long time standing member of the American Legion Auxiliary and past president. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canadian. They moved to Archer City in October of 2014 from Canadian. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tex Satterwhite and her brothers, Dale and Robert Carr. She is survived by her husband, George Wilson of Archer City, TX; one son, Elbie Wilson of Canadian, TX; two daughters, Dalena Freeman of Veribest, TX; Monica Wilson of Ponca City, OK; one sister, Norene Rux of Archer City, TX; 7 grandchildren, Camie Wilson of San Angelo, TX; Elbie Dean Wilson of Canadian, TX; Alysha Wilson of Amarillo, TX; Alicia Caldera of San Angelo, TX; Anthony Caldera of San Angelo, TX; Mason Wilson of Canadian, TX; MJ Freeman of Veribest, TX; five great-grandchildren, Elena Luna, Summar Wilson, Skylar Wilson, Jaxx Estrada and Eli Brady Winget. The family suggests memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. 4th Street, Canadian, TX 79014.
