Services for Mrs. Mary Jo Zenor, 82, of Canadian, TX, will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 3, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Monte Kreis, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Zenor passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 in Lubbock, TX. Mary Jo was born October 18, 1926 in Ladonia, TX to the late Mr. Hardy Franklin Hulsey and Mrs. Willie (Thornton) Hulsey. She attended grammar school in Snyder, TX and was a 1944 graduate of Perryton High School. She married Billy Lee Zenor Sr. on December 14, 1943 in Perryton, TX. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1995. They moved to Canadian in 1947 from Perryton. Mary Jo worked as a bookkeeper and was the Hemphill County Tax Assessor Collector. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women’s Group. She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Hulsey. She is survived by one son, Billy Lee Zenor Jr. and wife Dianne of Canadian, TX; one daughter, Donna Lynn Warrick and husband Dan of Hereford, TX; three brothers, Lynn Hulsey and wife Neida Beth of Panhandle, TX; Don Hulsey and wife Gaynelle and Larry Hulsey and wife Nanjean all of Perryton, TX; one sister, Merle Piersall of Lubbock, TX; two sister-in law’s, Winnie Hulsey of Canon City, CO and Pat Zenor of Amarillo, TX; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 520 Main, Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials to Kings Manor Nursing Home, 400 Ranger Dr. Hereford, TX 79045 or First United Methodist Church, 520 Main, Canadian, TX 79014.
