Maggie Lamb

Services for Mrs. Maggie Lamb, 84, of Memphis will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Lamb passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 in Memphis, TX. Maggie was born October 31, 1924 in Middleton, TX to the late Mr. Jack Whitten and Mrs. Lucy (Oats) Whitten. She married Minor Lamb on November 31, 1941 in Paris, TX. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1991. Maggie was a homemaker and a member of the Ethesians Church of God and Christ. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Wanda Wilson and Clara Cooper, one brother, George Whitten, two sisters, Madis Graves and Roberta Booker. She is survived by one son, Joe Lamb of Vernon, TX; four daughters, Ruth Cannon of Las Vegas, NV; Carolyn Harper of Long Beach, CA; Reshonda Barker of Grand Prairie, TX; Peggy Lamb of Wichita, KS; 30 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
