Memphis, TX – Funeral services for Matt Cox, age 32 of Memphis, Texas and formerly of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, will be at 12:30 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes, 7100 Crowley Road in Ft. Worth, Texas, with Rev. Daniel Downey, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Memphis, officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Land Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis. Visitation will be held at Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 5-7 PM. A visitation will also be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Ft. Worth on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 6-8 PM. Matt passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Memphis, Texas. He was born on August 25, 1976 in Cleburne, Texas to James and Glenda (Walls) Cox. He graduated from Cleburne High School, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleburne. He loved theatre and the arts, fashion, interior decorating and design, and was accomplished in each as evidenced by his American Society of Interior Designers certification. He enjoyed participating in local theater productions and entertaining others both on stage and off. He was also very proud of his work with DIFFA. He is survived by his parents, James and Glenda Cox of Memphis, TX; four sisters, Teresa (Tracy) Talley of San Antonio, TX, Darla Greene of Burleson, TX, Lori Phillips of Lubbock, TX, and Molly Cox of Amarillo, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from far and wide.
