Katherine "Amma" Rusk

Memorial service for Katherine “Amma” Rusk, 76, of Canadian, TX will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Church of Christ with Matt Dillon, officiating and Jerry Smith, assisting. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Katherine passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 in Canadian, TX. Katherine was born September 29, 1938 in Vivian, LA to the late Mr. Vernon Anderson Green and Mrs. Hope (Lawrence) Green. She graduated in 1957 from Eunice, NM. She married Jack Douglas Rusk on August 16, 1986 in Eunice, NM. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1996. Katherine was a seamstress and was a member of Pins and Needles and Bits and Pieces. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Eunice, NM until moving to Canadian in 1997. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Canadian. She is survived by her son, Mike Flynn and wife LeAnn of Canadian, TX; her sister, Phyllis Jones of Hobbs, NM; two grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
