Christina Babitzke

Services for Christina Babitzke, 90, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Darrouzett, TX with Rev. Danny Sanders, officiating and Rev. John Wagoner, assisting. Burial will follow in Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Christina passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in Canadian, TX. Christina was born April 15, 1925 in Las Vegas, NM to the late Mr. Wilhelm Schneider and Mrs. Rosalie (Reisweig) Schneider. She attended schools in Booker, TX. She married Henry Babitzke on June 14, 1942 in Booker, TX. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2006. Christina worked as a waitress and for a florist company. She moved to Canadian in 2007 from Amarillo and was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Babitzke in September of 2010; two brothers, Ted and Ruben Schneider and six sisters, Carie Voss, Ruby Dout, Martha Ginter, Laura Schneider, Louise Babitzke and Hilda Alexander. She is survived by her son, Buford Babitzke and wife Karen of Amarillo, TX; her daughter, Eline Burch and husband Don of Canadian, TX; 6 grandchildren, Monty Burch and wife Dinah of Elk City, OK; Ginger Webb and husband Buddy of Lipscomb, TX; Kristi Brewer and husband Heath of Elizabeth, CO; Brandon Babitzke and wife Misti of Broken Arrow, OK; Jason Babitzke and wife Keshia of Amarillo, TX; Cari Babitzke of Lubbock, TX and 12 great-grandchildren.
