Rosary services for Angel Quiroz, 72, of Canadian, Texas will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Juan C. Barragan, Officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Quiroz died Saturday, February 18, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on August 2, 1933 in San Luis, Mexico to the late Mr. Macario Quiroz and Mrs. Anastasia Torres Quiroz. He attended schools in Mexico. He married Maria Salas on November 8, 1956 in Springlake-Earth, TX. They moved to Canadian, TX in 1979 from Del Rio, TX. He worked as a laborer. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by one son, Jose Roberto Quiroz on November 7, 1984. He is survived by his wife, Maria Quiroz of Canadian, TX; four daughters, Reyes Martinez, Angie Reyna and Alicia Quiroz all of Canadian, TX; Rosa Trevino of Faribault, MN; two brothers, Antonio Vigil of Del Rio, TX; Lupe Quiroz of Canadian, TX; two sisters, Juanita Flores of Del Rio, TX; Marcelina Quiroz of Ft. Worth, TX; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to your Favorite Charity. The body will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church until service time.
