Services for Sheryl Shaw, 58, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Canadian, TX with Rev. Justin Coleman, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Shaw died Monday, February 6, 2006 in Canadian, TX. She was born on June 29, 1947 in Perryton, TX to Irene Latham Voorhees and the late Mr. Jack Voorhees. She was a 1965 graduate of Perryton High School. She married Walter Shaw on July 30, 1965 in Perryton, TX. They moved to Canadian, TX on January 19, 1978 from Perryton, TX. Sheryl was the Hospice Office Coordinator for 17 years and was also a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her husband, Walter Shaw of Canadian, TX; one son, Jeremy Shaw of Canadian, TX; one daughter, Jace Daily and husband Matt of Tulia, TX; her mother, Irene Voorhees of Canadian, TX; one brother, Barry Voorhees and wife Karen of Canadian, TX; two sisters, Charlene Kuhney and husband Bill of California; Sandy Lynn Sweet and husband Lynn Boyer of Arlington, TX and numerous nephews and nieces.
