Services for John “Pops” Faus Sr., 73, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the River Ministries Church with Donald Hill, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. John passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 in Amarillo, TX. John was born July 6, 1941 in Las Animas, CO to Mrs. Reita (Byers) Faus and the late Mr. Jack Faus. He attended school in Las Animas, CO. He married Judy Yeager on January 9, 1960 in Las Animas, CO. They moved to Canadian in 1980 from Leoti, KS. John was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Judy Faus of Canadian, TX; two sons, Jerome Faus and John Faus Jr. both of Canadian, TX; his mother, Reita Faus of Las Animas, CO; three brothers, Sam Faus and wife Helen of Denver, CO; Herb Faus and wife Pat of La Junta, CO; Ron Faus of Las Animas, CO; one sister, Reba Vanegmond and husband Jerry of Las Animas, CO; three grandchildren, Jasmine and Kayla Faus both of Colby, KS; Kimber Faus of Canadian, TX; four great-grandchildren, Desiree Hansen, Kaysten Barrett and Jarren Faus all of Colby, KS; Theo Capitillo of Canadian, TX.
