Tammy Lewis

Tammy Lewis, 56, of Higgins, TX passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Canadian, TX. A memorial service is scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX Tammy was born November 17, 1958 in Waynoka, OK to Mrs. Rita (Neu) McPherson and the late Mr. Darrell McPherson. She graduated in 1975 from Plains, KS. She married David Lewis on November 17, 1980. They moved to Higgins in 1986 from Guymon, OK. She worked for the Higgins Independent School District and later worked at Perks as a cook. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Sasser on December 11, 2010. She is survived by her husband, David Lewis of Higgins, TX; her mother, Rita McPherson of Amarillo, TX; one son, James Lewis and wife Summer of Guymon, OK; two brothers, Bill McPherson of Clovis, NM; Berlyn McPherson of Amarillo, TX; one sister, Kandra Jones of Merkel, TX; three grandchildren, Sydney, Kelsey and Luke Austin Lewis all of Guymon, OK.
