Graveside services for Jack King, 92, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Danny Sanders, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Jack passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Canadian, TX. Jack was born August 5, 1921 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Harry King and Mrs. Grace (Cessna) King. He was raised on the King Ranch in Lipscomb County, where he continued the family ranching tradition. He was a 1937 graduate of Canadian High School. Jack married Lois Carol Bryant. She preceded him in death in 1972. He later married Louise Parnell Wyatt. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #855. Jack loved being around his family, his ranch and a good horse. He also loved traveling, golfing and was a devoted Christian. He also was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Rumbaugh and son-in-law, Ronny Tyson. He is survived by his wife, Louise King of Canadian, TX; his son, Bill King and wife Denny of Lipscomb, TX; his daughters, Karol Tyson of New Deal, TX; Debbie Tversky and husband Lew of Canyon, TX; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
