Ozell Taylor

Memphis, TX -- Graveside Services for Ozell Taylor, 89, of Memphis, TX, will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX, with Tom Posey officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Taylor passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2005 in Memphis, TX. She was born on July 31, 1916 in Lubbock County, TX to the late Wyatt Eldridge Beckham and Mollie (McLaughlin) Beckham. She grew up in Hall county, and attended school in Friendship. She married Harlie Edward Taylor on January 1, 1943 in Memphis. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1978. Mrs. Taylor lived most of her life in Memphis, TX, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a dental assistant for Dr. Roddy Bice. She was also a homemaker. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. She is survived by one sister, Wanda Neel of Memphis, TX; and eight nieces and nephews, Mike Webster of Hereford, TX; Kim Hinckley of Art, TX; Kindra Davis of Memphis, TX; Teresa Morgan and Lori Caldwell, both of Amarillo, TX; Donna Odom of Houston, TX; and Zella Furrow and Leslie Johnson, both of Clovis, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to your favorite charity.
