Wallace Erickson

Graveside service for Wallace Erickson, 68, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Bo Rankin, officiating. Inurnment will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Wallace passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Canadian, TX. Wallace was born December 27, 1945 in Baker, MT to the late Mr. Roy Erickson and Mrs. Tillie (Hoffman) Erickson. He was a 1964 graduate of Rhame High School in Rhame, ND. Wallace was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam stationed in Germany. He married Bonnie Bagley on February 7, 1970 in Marmarth, ND. They moved to Canadian in 1991 from Beach, ND. Wallace worked for Butch’s Backhoe and was a pumper. He also drove trucks and loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family and friends. He was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth John “K.J.” Erickson in 2001 his brother, Arnold Erickson and his brother-in-law, Gene Domagala. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Erickson of Canadian, TX; his daughter, Kellie Jo Reeves and husband Brandon of Canadian, TX; his brother, Rick Erickson and wife Crystal of Rhame, ND; his sister, Darlene Domagala of Baker, MT; his sister-in-law, Garnee Erickson of Baker, MT; five grandchildren, Summer Dawn Kirkhart, Joseph Keeneth Kirkhart, Destinee Marie Kirkhart, Brooke Royale Reeves and Benjamin Jake Reeves. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
