Graveside services for John Moore, 74, of Canadian, TX will be at 9:00 A.M. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Monte Kreis, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Moore passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 in Wheeler, Texas. John was born February 12, 1934 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. John William Moore Jr. and Mrs. Jessie (Brown) Moore. He was a graduate of Perryton High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Texas. He then received his dentistry degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. John owned and operated his own dental practice in Houston, TX for 20 years. He is preceded in death by one son, Robert Moore. He is survived by four sons, Michael Moore of Denver, CO; Greg Moore of Victoria, TX; Lindsey Moore of Houston, TX and James Moore; two daughters, Lori Volkmer of Victoria, TX; Rebecca Benefield of Houston, TX; one sister, Mildred Schroeder and husband Edwin of Corpus Christi, TX
